Open Data Hub Day 2026

The sixth edition of the Open Data Hub Day will take place on 15th May 2026 at NOI Techpark in Bolzano/Bozen, Italy. The event will focus on best practices for understanding and using data to its full potential. Open Data is an increasingly important topic for those working in business and research.

Open Data Hub Day - Programme

The programme is structured across three parallel rooms: the event will open in Seminar Room 1 with the main track and after the morning coffee break it will split into sessions in Seminar Rooms 2 and 3, each dedicated to specific thematic tracks as outlined below. OPEN DATA HUB MAIN + PANEL

This track focuses on Open Data Hub projects and applications, showcasing how data is used to build services and generate public value. It includes the panel 'CityVision', part of the Roadshow 2026 – City Vision, an initiative bringing topics, solutions and perspectives on urban innovation closer to local administrations across Italy. The session will be held in Italian.

MOBILITY

This track explores how mobility data is used to enable smarter and more integrated transport systems. It presents approaches and experiences around multimodal journey planning, real-time data and data-driven mobility services.

OPEN DATA HUB CORE

This track focuses on the evolution of the Open Data Hub from a technical perspective. It highlights approaches, tools and architectural choices that support scalability, performance and data accessibility within the ecosystem.

OPEN DATA HUB BOOTCAMP 2026 RESULTS

Presentation of projects developed during the Open Data Hub Bootcamp by student teams. Projects are presented by the participants themselves and focus on data visualization, AI and LLM integration and data processing and enrichment. This event is an initiative of the Open Data Hub team in collaboration with the Faculty of Engineering of the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano.

BUILDING

This track explores how Open Data can be applied in the context of smart buildings and connected environments. It showcases practical approaches to integrating and using data to improve efficiency and monitoring.

AI

This track explores the role of artificial intelligence in unlocking the value of Open Data. It focuses on how data can be structured, accessed and used to enable intelligent systems and new data-driven applications.

DATA SPACE

This track looks at the future of data sharing in Europe. It presents concepts, frameworks and experiences related to Data Spaces and the development of interoperable and sovereign data ecosystems.
